Key Goal: The Business Analyst applies analytical skills while working with members of the business and technology areas to solicit and document business requirements, identify technical dependencies, and help create innovative solutions to both business and technical challenges.

Job Description

The Business Analystwill work from our office while collaborating with the Global MassMutual teams and provide support in the Data Purpose and Protection area. The person who will join this role will report to a local manager based in Bucharest.

Responsibilities

• Identify, collect, and document detailed business, functional, and non-functional requirements while ensuring compliance with MassMutual Standards and Controls;
• Communicate, verify, and gain approval of the requirements from the project team and stakeholders;
• Lead analysis of business processes, procedures, data, and rules;
• Facilitate and drive requirements-gathering sessions;
• Lead business process definition and documentation with an eye on internal and external touchpoints;
• Facilitate integration and cross-team process alignment;
• Define requirements, processes, roles, and responsibilities to transition projects to Business-as-Usual activities;
•  Coordinate and participate in peer reviews of team documents.

Requirements

Must-have

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or an analytical field such as Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science;
• 5+ years business analyst experience;
• Experience with drafting business requirements and process mapping;
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and can work on multiple different assignments at once;
• Ability to own and drive business analysis of a project;
• People skills, listening, integrity, ethical behavior, consistent;
• Strong at building trust, good verbal communication, conflict management.

Nice-to-Have

• 5+ years data analyst experience analyzing and manipulating data from variety of production systems and data platforms;
• Experience with cybersecurity regulation for financial institutions;
• Experience creating Risk Exposure and other scoring rubrics;
• Ability to document processes for departmental operations;
• Ability to document processes for controls governance and effectiveness testing
