As a Python Software Engineer, you will be responsible for working with various business partners to understand requirements and translate them into effective and robust scalable solutions. 

MassMutual Romania, with offices in Bucharest and Cluj, was established to build an in-house team with expertise in application development and support, quality assurance and data science to support MassMutual and its affiliates, including Barings, in creating digital products and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Implement solutions utilizing good DevOps practices.
• Ability to go from requirements gathering to production.
• Work in cross-functional agile teams to continuously experiment, iterate and deliver on new objectives.
• Developing scalable and re-usable frameworks.
• Strong track record in working with open-source projects and picking the right tool for the job by keeping up to date on the latest industry trends in upcoming technologies.
• Ability to bring less experienced team members along for the ride with the ability to explain the complex technical topics.
• Collaborate with the wider Technology organization.
• Conduct Code Reviews.
• Work with the business partners to understand requirements and develop business focused solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years as a Python developer.
• Solid experience in good test automation patterns with the ability to implement.
• Experience working in Cloud environments such as Azure or AWS.
• Good understanding of PySpark and the Databricks ecosystem.
• Good understanding of data and data architecture patterns.
• Ability to work in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Good working knowledge and experience working with SQL.
• Experience working with and creating reusable Restful APIs.
• Self-starter attitude.

Desirable

• Good understanding of ML and NLP processes.
• Good understanding of investment products, data and investment asset classes such as Equities, Fixed Income, etc.
• Working knowledge of PowerBI and report building.
