Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect will work from our Bucharest/Cluj office while collaborating with the Global MassMutual teams and provide architectural support in the migration's delivery area. The person who will join this role will report to a local manager based in Bucharest.

The successful candidate will partner closely with product owners, Enterprise Architecture and peer delivery leaders and will drive innovation, make strategic decisions and actively guide teams toward a future state consistent with the Enterprise Governance Architecture strategy. This role has broad exposure across the firm to effectively tie business capabilities and processes for scalable governance.

Objectives of this role – What success looks like:

• Accountable for cross-functional solution architecture of the technologies/projects in the migration projects including Life, Annuity and DI.

• Partners directly with Enterprise Architecture to drive the strategic architecture vision at the local level

• Collaboration with Sanderling team relating to policy migration and admin decommission efforts.

• Partners directly with the specific technology subject matter experts and technical leads to work across the Migration and Sanderling teams and ensure that architecture is integrated and holistic rather than siloed.

• Working with Business partners, Operations and compliance teams for regular correspondence and historical data management.

• Collaborate closely with the Senior Architect to get work activity assigned and receive mentoring.

• Partnering with different domain architects and SMEs across all project roles (PMs, Tech Leads, QA and Performance Testing teams).

• Support the leadership team in the design and implementation of a DevOps support model, including technology tools, for Investment Management technologies

• Stand up new Enterprise Risk Management Solution Architecture practice

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer or business-related field

• 8 or more years of experience with designing and implementing complex solutions

• Proficient level knowledge and experience with application technologies including Java, .Net and Mainframe. Understand different architectural patterns like micro-services and possess expertise in solving integration bottlenecks and knowledgeable on database concepts and handling variety of data management tools.

• Skilled in leading and/or participating in system design and architectural activities including technical requirement writing experience and ability to lead collaboration for important design decisions.

• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team-based environment including employees, vendors, and third-party contractors

• Proven ability to provide technical leadership and guidance to less experienced team members

• Strong understanding and adherence to IT SDLC, waterfall and agile.

• Must have excellent communication and organization skills.

Preferred:

• Exposure to Artificial Intelligence workload types.

• Experience in AWS cloud application design, development, and deployment including AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate

• Experience with Azure cloud platform.

• Proven track record as an integration architect involving variety of application tech stacks.

• Knowledge of data governance and data management technologies and methodologies

• Strong knowledge of ETL development including development patterns, and best practices
